Sam Sherman (aka HYPNOTIC) is an experimental rap artist who pushes the boundaries of hip-hop. His songs shift between gritty, chaotic textures and smooth, melodic passages, carrying raw emotion through his expressive vocal delivery. His ability to combine immersive atmospheres, distorted synths, and overblown drums creates a striking and unique contrast.

Sam began playing piano at four and was classically trained, later becoming fascinated with jazz and other contemporary styles. Starting at seven, he attended over a decade of music school, refining his piano skills while also learning drums and bass.

He started writing and producing original music at eleven and released his first track at sixteen, before attending Berklee College of Music to further widen his skillset.  As an artist, Sam aims to expand what hip-hop can sound like.  He is dedicated to exploring unconventional sounds and textures, blending genres, and creating music that surprises and challenges listeners.

HYPNOTIC's debut album, AVERTYOUREYES, is out now on all platforms, with another album slated for release before the end of 2025.
